State Leadership Briefing:
New WIOA Flexibilities Under the November TEGL
Friday, February 13 | 1:00 p.m. ET
RSVP
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) issued a Training and Employment Guidance Letter (TEGL) that allows states to maximize innovation in Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs. This is an opportunity for states to increase their flexibility in the programs, ultimately serving people better by allowing for a truly One Door to Work system.
This webinar will highlight opportunities for states to submit innovative waiver packages to DOL. A4O Senior Fellow Mason Bishop will walk through waiver strategies. Osmar Padilla, Deputy Secretary at Louisiana Works, will share what Louisiana is submitting (see Governor Landry’s Executive Order).
Speakers:
- Moderator: Rachel Barkley, Executive Director, Alliance for Opportunity
- Mason Bishop, Senior Fellow, Alliance for Opportunity, and Principal WorkED Consulting
- Osmar Padilla, Deputy Secretary, Louisiana Works
- U.S. Department of Labor representative (invited)
